"The self service machine just produced a RECEIPT..."

This may sound like a stupid incident to relate, and i don't expect many people to read it, but for someone who is from a poor background and is constantly in financial harship, this has opened my eyes.

Today, as usual I was getting home from work. And as usual, I always walk the long distance from work to my house. when i was walking home, i realised there was no food at home, so i went to tesco and headed straight for the reduced product section. unlike other evenings, tonight there weren't any reduced items. i was annoyed with myself for walking all the way to tesco in the cold and not finding any priced off food. so walked out feeling humiliated with myself, thinking you can't even buy normal food, you have to go for the reduced items every single time. as i got closer to the store exit, and this security guy must be sick of me because i'm there every night trying to get priced off food, so he looked at me, and this is when i thought enough is enough. i turned round and went for the fruit section i got some fruit, and some bread and some salad and headed for the self service till. i knew i only had enough money for the rent, and i never touch my rent money. but i felt angry, and so i got my bank card out.

THEN, AND I SWEAR BY THE 99 NAMES THAT ALLAH MADE KNOWN TO US, AND THE NAMES HE TAUGHT HIS OTHER CREATION, AND THE NAMES HE HAS CONCEALED TO HIMSELF, that the self service machine just produced a RECEIPT. strange, i looked at it, and it was like a NORMAL RECEIPT, showing the items bought, and how much the person paid, and how much they got back. i was like huh? It was like a normal receipt that people get after they paid for their products. ONLY I HADN'T PAID A SINGLE PENNY. contemplating walking out with the food, i feared Allah, and showed the staff member nearby, i said to him " exuse me, I didn't pay for this". He looked at it for 1 minute and then said to me "i'll sort it out for you, 1 moment". I told him i didn't want to wait, and that i would just pay it at the normal till instead. he said, wait i'll just check something. then he got a senior staff member, and they looked at it both, and then they mumbled something, and then last thing i heared was "shall we just leave it and give it to her, and woman replied yes, just leave it, take it". I said thank you and left.
